This house located down town Bayeux as been originally built in 1308 by a Norman knight from, an old local family, related to William. The Manor stayed in the Guérin Family till the English confiscated it and then occupied the place. During the second period of the one Hundred Years War, the house was seriously damaged and rebuilt by the English knight who was living in this property, his signature being the staircase which twists counter clockwise instead of the French clockwise way. Isabelle and François bought the Manor in 2004 and spent a full year renewing and remodelling it. |

Certain places are in charge of history. They are
today as many places of walk. When the veterans leave, there
will remain to us only these places to recall us what occurred
there, a certain day of June 1944.

Normandy-tourism
From
ultra-modern Le Tréport to the Mont-Saint-Michel,
the Normandy coast exhibits an astonishing variety of landscapes.
Here, the sea sculpts the cliffs with the pounding of its
waves, creating a fantasy architecture; there, where its
waters stretch on towards infinity, the sea comes to rest
on vast expanses of golden sand that disappear and reappear
with the tide, and the very air is fruit of new promise.
